Setelah kemaren iseng menggunakan Add On FireBug dengan fasilitas Page Speed-nya dan Add On YSlow, akhirnya aku memutuskan untuk mengganti tema/ template dari blog ini. Hasil analisis performance dari kedua add on tadi menyatakan bahwa tema terdahulu masih terlalu berat dan lama untuk di load. Padahal telah dipasang plugin WP Super Cache dan beberapa fasilitas telah di-AJAX-kan.
Salah satu hasil analisis adalah bahwa waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk load time home page menggunakan tema yang lama adalah sekitar 30 detik. Sedangkan hasil analisis yang sama untuk tema yang baru menjadi sekitar 14 detik. Jadi hasil optimasi load time sekitar 50%. Hasil yang cukup memuaskan.
Pada masa-masa awal ditemukannya shoutbox, widget ini seolah menjadi suatu hal yang hampir wajib untuk dipasang. Betapa mengasyikkannya meninggalkan komentar di shoutbox, karena kita bisa bebas menulis komentar, paling tidak untuk memberi tahu yang punya blog bahwa kita pernah mampir di blognya. Dan memang shoutbox ini diperuntukkan bagi pengunjung yang ingin berkomentar tentang hal yang tidak berhubungan dengan posting. Tidak heran jika kebanyakan isi pesan shoutbox tidak jauh dari sekedar mengatakan : “Hi, nice blog” atau “Blog walking in the noon”, atau “Lam kenal” atau kata-kata lain yang hampir sejenis.
Namun dibalik kemudahan berkomentar, sebenarnya ada kelemahan dari penggunaan shoutbox, yaitu :
Mengurangi tampilan “profesional” sebuah blog.
Memperlambat waktu load blog.
Kurang berguna, karena biasanya pengisi shoutbox juga mengisi pesan yang tidak terlalu penting.
Bisa disalahgunakan menjadi tempat ngejunk/ nyampah (seperti yang terjadi pada shoutbox saya ).
Tidak dapat digunakan sebagai tempat mencari back link, jadi tidak mempunyai nilai tambah di mata search engine.
Nah, berdasarkan pertimbangan itulah, maka saya terpaksa menghilangkan shoutbox di blog ini. Bagi yang memang ingin berkomentar tentang sesuatu yang tidak berhubungan dengan posting, atau sekedar ingin menyapa saya sebagai penulis blog ini, maka anda dapat berkomentar disini atau kontak saya disini.

The Web 2.0 site become more popular for the user. It’s all because the facilities in Web 2.0 is so communicative. The user can communicate each other, sharing everything and get feed back directly from their friend.

May be some user can share some usefull information about their camera, tips and trick how to over clock their laptop,etc. The point is in Acobay, a friend is so usefull because they can share their experience related to their same interest. But when we want to buy goods online, we should be carefull in choosing the ecommerce site. There are so many buyers get cheated by some ecommerce site in this virtual world.
One thing that we can do is looking for a credible ecommerce site. May be we can try to find out by googling. But we should know that the top ten search result is not a guarantee that the store are credible. Actually what we need is shopping search engine.
